The Jimi Jazz Band - Frank Young drums, Matt Everhart bass, and Paul Hannah sax, continue to perform and their third album "What Now" has received critical acclaim and national airplay.
The Jazz Quartet is in the 6th year of their residency of monthly gigs at their home base in Baltimore at Costas Inn.

Gregory Thompkins' Tribute to John Coltrane will be posting a few more gigs in 2020. Stay tuned.

Carl Filipiak is a guitarist from Baltimore, MD and has released 7 albums on Geometric Records featuring Dennis Chambers on drums and Bob Berg on sax, and has recorded several albums for Art of Life Records.
He has performed, recorded and toured with Dennis Chambers, Will Calhoun, Greg Grainger, Victor Wooten, Gary Grainger, Scott Ambush, Mike Pope, Bob Berg and many others. He has recorded at Abbey Road in London and played many concerts and festivals around the country. His instructional books are published by Mel Bay and Balafon.
He continues to teach privately and plays close to home on the East Coast with the Jimi Jazz Band, his jazz quartet, and his friends Lafayette Gilchrist and Gregory Thompkins from The New Volcanoes.

If you’re interested in rock, jazz or blues, I can definitely help you play what you love. I’m into everything from the Beatles to Hendrix, Miles to Metheny, Albert King to Eric Clapton and anything in between. All levels are welcome. I have a convenient location and parking as well as a spacious studio and waiting room for your comfort. You will have access to information from my personal library of records, CDs and books.
In addition to guitar, I also teach music theory for all instruments. My teaching studio is located in Baltimore (the Timonium area) and lessons are $75 an hour. Lessons are scheduled on a weekly or every other week basis, Monday through Thursday. If you are interested call 410-561-8750.
