Carl Filipiak and the Jimi Jazz Band’s album “What Now” has been on the RMR Top 50 Jazz Album Chart for 20 weeks peaking at #2! It reached #4 on the NACC Top 30 Jazz Chart and made the Most Added Chart at Jazzweek.
The “What Now” title track reached #1 and “Strawberry Fields Forever” was #6 on the RMR Top 50 Jazz Song Chart for the week of January 6, 2018.

Carl Filipiak has earned critical acclaim as one of today’s most dynamic jazz guitarists. Jazziz Magazine has included him among a renowned list of guitar players in their nominations for “New Fusion Blood,” and JazzTimes calls him “a dazzlingly versatile guitarist.”
Many of his recordings and performances have paired him with some of the industry’s finest musicians including Dennis Chambers, Victor Wooten, and Grammy nominee Bob Berg. I’m into everything from the Beatles to Hendrix, Miles to Metheny, Albert King to Eric Clapton and anything in between. All levels are welcome. I have a convenient location and parking as well as a spacious studio and waiting room for your comfort. You will have access to information from my personal library of records, CDs and books.
In addition to guitar, I also teach music theory for all instruments. My teaching studio is located in Baltimore (the Timonium area) and lessons are $75 an hour. Lessons are scheduled on a weekly or every other week basis, Monday through Thursday. If you are interested call 410-561-8750.
